As an army brat and Berkeley folk music club owner and drug smuggler, I have come in personal contact with many people of different races and political persuasions. Too lump people into defined groups such as liberal or conservative is meaningless. I met blacks who went out of their way to help me out and a few others who stole from me, much the same as the white people I came in contact with. I met left wing radicals with minds as closed as right wing zealots. I was ripped off by drug dealers, mostly white, as well as being assisted out of tight spots by Mexican peasants who just wanted to give a helping hand to someone in need. Get over it people. Labels are for lazy people who don’t want to look past their noses.
